MQ4 Methane Gas Sensor Module

Description

The MQ4 Methane Gas Sensor Module is a Compressed Natural Gas Sensor (CNG), which is mostly made up of methane (CH4).

It is suitable for sensing natural gas concentrations in the air. The sensor can detect concentrations anywhere from 200 to 10,000 ppm.

This sensor also features high sensitivity and high response times.

This is a simple to use sensor, with voltage output related to sensor value. You can also adjust sensitivity using the sensor’s potentiometer. Refer to datasheet for more info, or check this tutorial.

Make sure to preheat your sensor before taking measurements. For first use, or if stored for a long time, it’s best to burn-in the sensor.
